Fine Art
Sindhu Bhairavi
Professional Fine Art Practitioner & Fine Art Teacher · August 2020 – Present
After completing my legal studies in 2019, the pandemic and certain personal circumstances led me to reflect on my career path. I chose to pursue my long-standing passion for art; I completed certified courses (basic & advanced) in painting at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru, which strengthened my technical skills and artistic foundation.
Since then, my works have been exhibited in several group exhibitions and art festivals across India and internationally, including venues such as Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath (Bengaluru), The Bombay Art Society (Mumbai), Lalit Kala Akademi (Chennai), State Gallery of Art (Hyderabad), National Art Gallery (Maldives), and IGNCA (Delhi). My artwork “Exhausted” was selected for the “Visible/Invisible – 16 Days of Activism” campaign by Think.CREA and was later displayed at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) 2024 exposition event in New York. In addition, one of my sketches from KARNAPEX-2024 was featured in the limited-edition “Moods of Karnapex” postcard unveiled by the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka.
Alongside my artistic practice, I have been actively involved in teaching and interdisciplinary creative projects. Since August 2020, I have been working as a Fine Arts teacher at Anura Academy of Performing Arts, Yelahanka, and have also taught at Open House, Sadashiv Nagar and ASR Art Studio, New BEL Road, Bengaluru, guiding students across different age groups in drawing and painting. My creative interests also extend to cinema and visual storytelling, where I have worked as an Art Director for the short film “Secular”, contributed to advertising campaigns, and served as an Assistant Director for the Kannada film “Jingo” and promotional projects related to Jingo and Vidyapati.
Freestyle & Hip-Hop
Raksha R Kumar
Raksha R Kumar is a self-trained Freestyle and Hip-Hop dance instructor, choreographer, and cultural leader with extensive experience in dance training, choreography, and event management.
She currently serves as a Freestyle Dance Trainer at Anura Academy of Performing Arts and conducts energetic Zumba fitness sessions, promoting dance as a medium for fitness and self-expression.
Raksha has held key leadership positions, including Cultural Head at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Malleshwaram, where she organized and led numerous cultural initiatives. She also served as a judge for the college dance team auditions, evaluating and selecting talented performers.
In addition, she is the Cultural Vice President of Namma Karnataka Sena Sangha, where she actively contributes to promoting art, culture, and youth talent through various cultural programs and events.
With a strong passion for dance and years of practical experience, Raksha is committed to mentoring aspiring dancers, inspiring confidence, creativity, and excellence through her teaching and choreography.
